3 eggs

This assignment was really difficult for me to do. I've never taken an art class before so figuring this out was tough. I started by sketching what I wanted to do first. I tried to add shading so it looked more realistic. I found some cool digital feathers that I cut out and put on the table, as well as a sun. I think it still needs some work.

September 11 at Ps1

I went to the 9/11 exhibition at Ps1 today. I thought it was a great show. One room combined three different pieces in one room, and the way they worked with each other was really moving. One aspect was George Segal's "Woman on a Park Bench" (1998). In front of that on the ground was Roger Hiorns' "Untitled" (2008) which was atomized passenger aircraft engine. In the background the theme from "The Patriot" was playing which was composed by John Williams and performed as a violin solo by Mark O'Connor. The whole room had a kind of sad feeling, but still hopeful after all. The woman sitting by herself in front of the big grey mess seemed to represent the strength of New Yorkers and the rest of America to carry on after such a tragedy.
